AI consultancy · United Kingdom

Practical AI, built into the way you already work.

We find the part of your business where AI will save real time or money, then design it, build it and run it inside the systems you already use. The people who scope the work are the people who write the code.

How we are different

Consultancy that stays hands-on

Plenty of firms will advise on AI. We also build it, run it in production and stay accountable for the result.

We start with the bottleneck

Before recommending anything, we look at where time and money are actually being lost. The right fix is often smaller and cheaper than the obvious one.

We write the code

Technical direction and delivery come from the same people, so nothing is lost between the plan and the build. We stay responsible for it once it is live.

We work with what you have

Most projects improve systems that are already in place. Changes go out in stages, alongside your existing processes, so the business keeps running.

Services

Where we can help

From the first assessment to a system running in production. Most clients start with one problem and grow from there.

Language models in production

Fine-tuned or self-hosted models, chosen to suit your data sensitivity, compliance needs and budget.

Process automation

Manual data entry replaced with pipelines that read documents and feed your existing systems.

Systems integration

The tools you already pay for, connected into one working system on infrastructure you control.

Strategy and technical direction

Independent advice on where AI is worth the investment, and where it is not.

Process

How a project runs

A simple path from problem to production, with a decision point after each stage.

  1. Discover

We learn how the process works today, what data exists and what constraints apply, and agree the one problem worth solving first.

  2. Design

We choose the model, hosting and architecture to fit your data sensitivity, compliance requirements and budget.

  3. Build

We develop the solution and connect it to your existing systems, with interfaces your team can operate without us.

  4. Deploy

We roll out in stages, measure the results in production, and hand over with training and documentation.

Recycling

Material identification in a sorting product

A classifier and a new labelled dataset, built into the client’s own hardware to drive sorting decisions.

Questions

Common questions

Something else on your mind? Email agent@edlan.co.uk.

What kind of businesses do you work with?

Organisations of all sizes, from small teams to large enterprises, in every sector. What they have in common is a process that takes too long or depends on manual work, such as document handling, reporting, customer support or moving data between systems.

How much does an AI project cost?

It depends on scope. Most projects are priced as day-rate work, and fixed-price projects are also available. A short first conversation is free and usually enough to tell whether the work is worth doing.

Can the AI run on our own infrastructure?

Yes. Where data is sensitive we use self-hosted or open-weight models, so information stays on servers you control. Where it is not, a hosted model with zero data retention is often cheaper. We recommend whichever fits your requirements.

Do we need to replace our existing systems?

Rarely. Most of our work connects to the systems you already use, such as your ERP, CRM, inbox or document store, and improves one step at a time.

How long does a typical project take?

A focused proof of value usually takes a few weeks. A production rollout with integration, testing and handover takes longer and is planned in stages, so you see results early.

Have a process that takes longer than it should?

Tell us about it. One conversation is usually enough to tell whether AI will help, and whether it is worth the cost.
