Edlan was founded by people with PhDs in AI. Their research includes deploying visual recognition models onto custom brain-inspired processors, work that covered the whole stack: the models, the hardware they run on, and the trade-offs between cost, speed and accuracy.
It matters commercially. When we recommend a model, a hosting approach or a budget, the recommendation is based on how these systems behave in production, not on vendor marketing.
